Reese Witherspoon began seriously pursuing her acting career after first attending Stanford University. The first successes of her acting career included movies like Pleasantville and Election However, her character in the film Elle Woods was the turning stage for her. Witherspoon won one Academy Award for her performance in Walk the Line in 2005. Water for Elephants: This Means War & Wild, for both of which she was awarded an Oscar nomination.
