John Denver, a singer-songwriter born in Colorado who was a specialist in folk music has touched the hearts of millions. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in the love of Colorado and then settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems, which are well-known, have been a draw for many who have come visitors to Colorado. I can't think of any other performer who embodies Colorado like John Denver said G. In my journeys, you meet someone from the opposite side of the world someone who is from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the very first thing that comes you hear is Oh John Denver! Brown admitted. Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time with folk bands and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff had written the song using Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver saw an early rendition he knew right away the song was likely to become a hit single. Just a couple of days after performing to a packed audience at Washington D.C., the musician recorded the track.
