Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinct blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. She's performed on Broadway and during the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing the piano in the church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on the Atlanta's R&B scene. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) was approached for a position as director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention throughout the four performances during the 2008. Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
